The Divine Order

This powerful message centers on James 4:6-10, revealing a divine pattern for spiritual victory that transforms how we engage with both God and spiritual warfare. At its core is a profound truth: when heaven comes first in our lives, hell runs in a second. The teaching unpacks the Greek meanings behind key words—humble (tapeinoo), submit (hupotasso), resist (anthistemi), and flee (pheugo)—showing us that spiritual authority isn't about our volume or personality, but about our alignment with God. We discover that the devil isn't afraid of loud, proud believers; he's terrified of humble, submitted ones. The message uses vivid imagery of two chairs in our hearts: the throne of King Self where we declare 'my will be done,' and the throne of King Jesus where we surrender to 'thy will be done.' Every morning we wake up with King Self back on the throne, which is why we must die daily, picking up our cross and choosing surrender. The teaching emphasizes that before there can be authority over darkness, there must be alignment under God's authority. Before there's power flowing out, there must be proper posture within. This isn't complicated theology—it's simply about changing chairs, moving from self-rule to Christ-rule. When we truly humble ourselves and submit to God, we're not just mouthing religious words; we become legal representatives of heaven carrying kingdom authority. The enemy doesn't see us—he sees Jesus in us, and that's what makes him flee in terror.
