Why join Life Groups?
"Life Groups and small groups are not only a present movement of God in the Church around the world, they represent a powerful New Testament pattern that was very much at the heart of the early church. According to eye doctors, if you have 20/20 vision your vision is perfect. By analogy, Acts 20:20 shares God's master plan for effective churches: "You know that I (Apostle Paul) have not hesitated to preach anything that would be helpful to you but have taught publically AND from house to house." Scripture records that Jesus frequently went into homes and ministered (as in Matthew 8:14,14; Mark 1:29-31; Luke 8:51-56) and to the lost and hurting in homes to draw them to Himself (as in Matthew 9:10-13; Mark 2:15-17; Luke 5:29-32). The history of the early Church records that homes were a vital place of life and ministry for the local churches. The Greek word for house, 'oikos', appears at least 90 times in the New Testament, with many references to believers worshipping, fellowshipping, or being taught in a house (as in Acts 2:2-4,46; 5:42; 10:24-48; 16:25-24,40; 20:17-20; 21:8-14; 28:30,31). The four fold purpose of our monthly Life Groups is for prayer, fellowship, evangelism and sharing and studying God's Word together. These are life changing times that everyone should be a part of!
